On the morning of May 28, Guangzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. and Pony.ai signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement. Under the agreement, the two parties will leverage their respective strengths to collaborate in areas including autonomous vehicle, mobility platform business, autonomous vehicle aftermarket services, and autonomous logistics operation services.

Representing the two parties, Liu Wei, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Public Transport Group, and Mo Luyi, Vice President of Pony.ai and General Manager of Pony.ai Guangzhou, formally executed the agreement.
This strategic partnership focuses on overcoming challenges in achieving a commercial closed-loop for autonomous driving. The two parties will build "operational support + ecological co-construction," exploring the collaboration through resources such as facilities, technical support, and coordinated management to explore synergies in vehicle parking, charging, maintenance and inspection, auto parts supply, and technical talent development.
The initiative aims to pioneer the "Guangzhou Model" for autonomous driving operation service in China, promote the upgrading of Guangzhou’s intelligent connected vehicle industry, and form a replicable "Guangzhou Solution" to help Guangzhou's emerging fields resonate with the high-quality development of the industry.
